Community Input

With support from a Department of Conservation grant, we now have the capacity to undertake this important work and better serve Amador County. The ARCD is using this opportunity to identify our community’s priorities through a countywide Community Needs Assessment. This is our moment to listen, learn, and gather insights directly from the people who live in, work in, and care for our community.

Click Here to check out the Natural & Working Lands Executive Summary, this summary is intended to provide clarity and context—not final decisions. The NWL Strategy is a living framework, and all elements outlined here are subject to change based on ongoing community feedback, discussion, and shared learning. Community voices are central to refining the strategy and ensuring it reflects the needs, and values, of the community.

We’re not just checking boxes, we’re genuinely eager to hear what you have to say. Your lived experience helps shape smarter, more responsive conservation efforts throughout the county.
